TRUE Hockey has developed four flex ratings, each with an optimized length for junior players of varying heights and weights. Choosing the right stick in the UFLEX line will help junior players maximize the performance of the stick during shooting and passing.
The above chart is a guide that will help position each player with the right stick. However, there may be instances where the suggestions are not applicable to an individual player for a number of reasons. We strongly encourage all consumers to consult their local authorized TRUE retail staff who can help validate final stick choice for each individual players needs.
The Developing Player’s Stick
Optimized Shot Velocity
Selecting the right flex rating allows players to maximize the flex energy load into the shaft, resulting in harder, and faster shots.
Greater Accuracy & Control
The flex of a stick is measured by the amount of weight needed to flex it, which will directly impact the performance a player can achieve with the stick. Selecting the right flex allows players to optimally direct their energy into the shaft, resulting in more accurate, harder, faster shots, better stickhandling and improved passing.

The repositioned and redesigned XCORE Gen 2 insert provides increased absorption, dampening the impact for greater puck control when stick handling and receiving passes. The larger insert provides players with a wider sweet spot, for unmatched puck control and shooting accuracy.
-
The improved BRT+ technology extends the braided rib structure into the heel, improving durability while reducing wall thickness and producing a lighter more responsive blade.
-
The industry-leading Axenic process results in a seamless build, putting the player’s hands in direct contact with the puck and when combined with our XCORE Gen 2 technology, producing unmatched control and feel.
-
A process by which fiber angles, and the order of those angles, are optimized in up to 25 layers of unidirectional carbon fiber in a single shaft. The SmartPly process creates the perfect marriage between weight, balance, and industry-leading impact strength.
-
A design process by which a stick’s stiffness profile is optimized for all shot types. The result is a more powerful shot from any shooting position.
