Nicolas Deslauriers was drafted to the Los Angeles Kings during the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. In March 2014, he was traded to the Buffalo Sabers, before getting picked up by the Montreal Canadiens during the opening night of the 2017/2018 NHL season. He made his first appearance as a Habs winger on November 16, 2017. Deslauriers was traded by the Canadiens to the Anaheim Ducks on June 30, 2019, and set the record for the fastest hat trick in Ducks history on March 10, 2020. Deslauriers’ gameplay is described as a clean mix between enforcer and grinder, making him a force to be reckoned with beyond the blue line.
