Player Profile

Connor Hellebuyck was selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, playing his first season for their AHL team, the St. John’s IceCaps, and the AHL All-Star Game in 2015. He represented the United States at the Men’s World Ice Hockey Championships and was called up as the Jet’s goalie in November 2015, winning his first NHL game within the month. Posting a 44-11-9 record in 67 games during the Jets 2017-18 season, Hellebuyck set the record for the most single-season wins by an American goaltender in the NHL. During the 2019/2020 season, Hellebuyck was named the Vezina Trophy winner as the league’s top goaltender. A cool demeanor, dedication, and growing consistency have led to massive growth in Hellebuyck’s skills, making him the go-to guy in the Jet’s starting line.
